This week has consisted of homework. I kid you not, I've put more effort into these past few weeks of school (it's not even been a month, HOW?!) than I had in the rest of my education. Since I've been super dull this week, I'm going to go into a bit more detail about what I've enjoyed reading, watching, and whatnot. I hope you all have a lovely week!
This article got to me. It's odd, because things like size are often taboo to discuss. However, when it comes to the little number on the back of your intimates, everyone is dying to know. We honestly have become a world of numbers, and articles like this really make us realize how much we need to fix it.
Whether friendship or something more, these should be rules that every relationship should live by. You often see people change for others, and honestly, you can't please everybody. Just be yourself, it's easier in the long run.
This article really makes you consider the impact of fashion on society. Who knew clothes would be such a game changer for the economy? It really makes you think about how one label can have so much meaning behind it. I don't think I'll ever look at my closet again, after seeing some of those statistics.
What I've Watched
The Riot Club
Yes, I know, most of you will have hated this film. In light of David Cameron's recent scandal surrounding his Bullingdon Club days, I just had to. Plus, Douglas Booth... how could I not? Some of the things I saw in the film remind me of the things I've seen in real life, which I honestly didn't expect. It's interesting to see the evolution of a once aristocratic club into, well, something destructive (to an extent).
Empire
Damn, the Empire really does strike back. After a killer (literally) first season, I could not wait for the show to be back. It's like nothing I've ever seen before, yet, much like the Riot Club, there are small things in there I can associate with. Also, can we just take a minute to appreciate the clothing in this show? Whoever designs the outfits on this show, I salute you.
