After finding this brand for the first time last season, I have to admit I adore their style. Casual, simple and comfortable looking - all you need for the colder weather. Unlike many other cities, Paris is going traditional with their color scheme for the cooler seasons. I can't complain, it's the style I love! It's classic, effortless - screams French chic.

This collection epitomizes my stereotypical understanding of "French fall fashion", and I love it. With a mixture of exotic prints (I feel like I've seen a kaftan dress of a similar fabric in my wardrobe) and staple cold weather items, this collection gives so much inspiration on how to transition warmer weather clothes into the cooler months. Up to this point, it has been my favorite collection from Paris, so narrowing down to even my top three is so difficult!

Ellie Saab

Lace, pops of color and an electric blue runway. Oh Ellie Saab, how fun your shows must be live! I really enjoyed the excitement of this collection. Luxurious purple lace and black and red ensembles were fantastic in this show. Unlike the typical 'muted tones' of autumn/winter (which I do adore, nonetheless) this show mixed the classic cold weather staples with some summery shirts and skirts. El Nino, anyone?

Zuhair Murad

After being reminded of Murad's talent at the Oscars (Priyanka Chopra stunned on her first Oscar carpet), I was so excited for this collection. Naturally, I was not disappointed. Some of the pieces reminded me of Nina Dobrev's Oscars after party dress (which happened to be Ellie Saab, but anyways), which wowed me on first glance, I was so happy to see the mini floral detailing on some of the dresses. This collection would be my ideal for prom or a formal event, and maybe someday (fingers crossed) I will be able to wear something as gorgeous as this season's collection, if not a real piece by the fashion god.

Valentino

Karl Lagergeld could do no wrong. This diverse runway twisted the classic Chanel coat, strung out pearls and had us craving the cold weather. If only we could pull off winter the way these gorgeous models do!

Louis Vuitton

This edgy collection featured some deep berry lips, bed head and a lot of leather. The sleek clothing fit numerous aesthetics, with models mainly cascading down the runway in  black, white and red. From casual day looks to some amazing night out ensembles, the diverse collection matched the modern design of the silvery runway. Overall, a great end to a wonderful season!

Thick wollen sweaters, sweater dresses, jackets - all cold weather staples that Les Copains has done beautifully. I'm not going to lie, when I first saw the collection I was startled by the amount of wool. For a moment I'd forgotten that it was an AW collection! That's what happens when the seasons start to merge, I guess. There were amazing pieces that would be easily replicated. I adored the feminine blush mixed in with black in many of the dresses! They would be perfect to match the falling leaves. 

The caption for this collection on Facebook was "what if Cinderella wore Dolce & Gabbana". The collection fit the tee for that. With stitching alluding to Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty and other mystical Disney films, the collection provides magic to those of us who could be seen as too old to have any left. 

My favorite part of this collection was the weaving on some of the pieces. Not only does it create a statement piece, but it makes any item look much more formal. The collection almost seemed to scream "global warming means flowers in autumn, but just in case here are some more". I loved it, and have an inkling that florals will be a trend for autumn (*gasp*)

This collection was the a classic AW one, which was expected from the traditional brand that is Mulberry. With thick muted coats, gorgeous boots and little pops of color, it's exactly what you'd want to wear in the colder months. Something warm with a punch.

Anya Hindmarch

I feel like an old person when I say this, but I'm going to say it regardless. I still remember when Anya Hindmarch sold simple, sparkly bags. That was back when they had cosmetic bags on British Airways and were still a giant blip on the worlds radar. Since then, it's become a hit with 20 year olds and 90s kids, paying homage to Tetris, Pac Man and classic arcade games. Whilst the collections aren't the most wearer friendly (I mean, there are only so many times you can wear a Tetris coat), they certainly are fun!

Many teenagers will probably be surprised that Topshop has a show at fashion week. I know I sure was. The "high street" (I'm sorry but some of the clothes are pricy for high street) brand has a massive following, and the show is attended by countless celebrities and bloggers every season. It could hint at the possibility that high street brands will have some models strutting down the runway in their clothes soon, too, considering the success. With some stunning nude and black coats (one of which was Burberry-esque), Topshop provides fashionistas on a budget (well, debatable) with the opportunity to buy some high quality, on trend clothes at a cheap(er) price.
