Sweet Treats of Summer
20:05:00
Like most people, my Summer was based mainly around one thing - my stomach. As a foodie, my Instagram is usually scattered with photos of my meals... guilty. I thought I'd give you an insight into my favorite meals, from both here in London and my two day stint in Bruges.
London
A Londoner at heart, I usually stick to my comfort zone with food here. The local cafés are my calling, and after being here for just shy of two months, I can honestly say that I didn't experiment with my food here at all. Here are some of my favorite places to go when in the city.
Amorino, King's Road
I've been going to Amorino since it opened, and only recently discovered the ice cream macaroons. I've always been a fan of macaroons, but with the ice cream filling, it's a whole different game. I've yet to try anything similar! The gelato is also divine, and I'm positive that people in the area agree. Even on slightly cold days, the line in the shop can be up to 40 minutes long! From frappés to macaroons, Amorino is a great sweet treat.

During the summer, Joe's is a Middle Eastern tourist's dream. With a branch in Dubai Mall as well, the chain is known for their Delice au Café, a delicious chocolate and coffee ice cream cake. Whilst there is a slight variation between the Dubai and London cake, both are perfect for summer.

Whole foods is the best grab-and-go supermarket. They have a selection of fresh produce, and dozens of coffees to try (aka Sarah's heaven). I recommend grabbing a snack (or a hundred) from the High Street Kensington branch, and strolling through the park. A perfect London day, in my opinion.
A recent discovery, Nostegia does these divine bubble waffles with Nutella, whipped cream, and every topping under the sun. The store is opening in Green Park very soon, but doesn't mean that a trip to Shoreditch isn't a must!
Bruges
Even though I was only in Bruges for two days, there were two things I ate until I could not physically move (true story) - croquettes and waffles. Market Square, the city center, has around a dozen cafés, most of which serve these two delicious Belgian foods.
What have been your sweet treats of Summer this year?
