For me, this month was a bit of a whirlwind. Between travelling, university applications, and the trauma of going back to school, I've not really had the chance to try a lot of new things. However, I have found a few things that I just have to share.

Givenchy Jardin Précieux Eau de Toilette
Most people who know me will find no surprise in the fact that there's something Givenchy in my favorites. This perfume was an airport summer exclusive, which I was very kindly gifted at the beginning of my holiday in London. I was given a few options of which brand's perfume to choose, and naturally, I chose Givenchy. Whilst it does smell similarly to other Givenchy perfumes I own, this one is a bit more floral, perfect for the warmer months.

Hardback Books
This is a bit of an odd one, to be honest. Most people love paperbacks, because of their convenience. I, however, have very randomly developed a love for hardbacks. Even though they are heavier, I have found that they are much more durable. Also, have you seen some of the covers? I've just cracked open F. Scoot Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise, in a wonderful embossed silver and white cover, and have to say, it makes reading look much more sophisticated.

I Love Coloring
Over the summer, I became a bit obsessed with coloring. I spent so much time looking for a nice, small coloring book, and have to say, this is the one. Each page has intricate designs, and I find that it is so soothing to just open this book and color for a few minutes everyday.

Frixion Erasable Markers
With every coloring book, you need a nice set of pens. I had mentioned these in my Back to School Stationary post, as they're good for if you often make mistakes, or like to rewrite your notes. I often make tiny mistakes when coloring the more intricate pages, so having an eraser on the end of the pen means that I don't panic when there's a small dot outside the lines. These pens are perfect for coloring, and I've been carrying them around in my hand luggage for short trips now too.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
Over summer, especially in the heat, makeup hasn't been a priority. At most, I will wear CC cream  (Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream) and a powder. On lazy days where I have to go out, and now for school, that's what I will wear. But, on those miraculously good skin days (oh, how rare they are), I will just wear this powder. It's perfect for a quick grab and go, and does have quite a bit of coverage, considering that it is a powder. It's also very good on top of my CC Cream, so it's definitely an all rounder powder (that rhymes, I think!). Perfect for those hot, lazy days.

So, these are my five favorites of August! Let us know what you've enjoyed from this month, and this summer, in the comments below.
