Words of the Week - Haircut, Homework and Help
19:38:00No matter how many snacks you eat, homework will always be a drag. |
Oh look, another week with no regular posts. I'm so so so sorry! By this point, I'm sure that you're all just rolling your eyes... it is truly difficult to find the time to post high quality content during the week, so, I might start to (*gasps*) schedule some posts in for the week. Terrible, I know. Whilst you all curse my existence, I might as well share with you what I've been spending time with whilst not posting.
Haircut
Last weekend, I very foolishly went in for a 'trim'. Now, I just want to point out that before, my hair was around 5 inches longer. The word 'trim' somehow turned into 'chop', and next thing you know, the hair I'd spent good two years attempting to grow out was all gone. Bitterness aside, it doesn't look to hideous. I can't do much with it, but I'll get over it. The one plus is that my hair is curling much better! If I find a nice style, would you guys be interested in a tutorial/ demo of some sorts? Let me know :)
Homework
I recently got back into using a proper 'planner' for noting down deadlines, and I will admit that I have become much more productive with it than I was with the online apps. It's much more satisfying to use a proper notebook, and aggressively crossing off tasks I've done has sadly become a highlight of my day.
Help
Sarah and I were discussing a few ideas this week, and were wondering whether you guys would mind letting us know what content you'd be interested in seeing from us. We aren't quite sure what direction we're going with on the blog, so any help would be much appreciated :)
What to listen to...
For those of you who haven't heard Hello, Adele's comeback song, you have to. Not only is the song itself wonderful, but also, the video is stunning. It's amazing how much has changed since Adele's last album, 21, yet, her music and vibe haven't changed much. It's exactly what we've all been missing out on for 4 years. I cannot wait to hear the entire album!

Panic! At the Disco's Emperor's New Clothes gives me serious deja vu, and I have no clue why. But you know what, it's such a good song that I've overlooked the fact that it is similar to their other songs.
What to watch...
This week, I managed to pull off two movie marathons. On Thursday, I watched Something Borrowed and The Big Wedding, both of which are amazing films, for very different reasons. Something Borrowed is based off of the novel with the same name, and is just a great "think about nothing" type of film. The Big Wedding, on the other hand, is something you really have to focus on to keep up with. The cast is incredible, with Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, and many more big stars, it is a must-see film. On Friday, I went for two Julia Roberts films, My Best Friend's Wedding and Pretty Woman. Need I say any more?
