A very strange sight at Bath on an ORA excursion with McPang

The title doesn't mean I'm sick. Well, physically sick; rather my state of my mind. It's as if my brain got the flu or a bad cold. I'm not sure if any of this makes sense so bear with me. I wanted to start off with an apology; this weeks Week Ending was way over due and so I just wanted to say sorry for that.
Things had gotten pretty hectic and I more or less thought I couldn't get through them but hey, I survived like I usually do. Tanya (as usual) made some killer posts (if you haven't read them do so right now) which very managed to shield my inadequacy in posting on time or semi-decent posts, so I hope that's made up for things.

Let's roll with Week Endings part 4: Thicker Than Cough Syrup

Bibliography

I haven't had much time to read, I'm still on the same page of my current read (Pinball/Wind by Haruki Murakami). Most of what I've read this week have been my extended essay and my novel, which I haven't been able to write a lot for thanks to the extended essay. As you can see I'm feeling very bitter towards the IB. I was originally thinking it would be every so funny to link the EE guidelines for this weeks reading but I realized that...well, no.
Henry Miller's 'Tropic of Cancer' is one of my favorite books, which I oddly enough never really talked about. I have a soft spot for classical American literature from the 20th century and 'Tropic of Cancer manages to satisfy it (as aforementioned in one of my older posts, I have very specific micro-detail-centric taste). This book only has 300 something pages so it's not the longest read but it may take up some of your time. The thing is, it's written in such a way that you would feel wrong to put it down. It's very captivating though arguably (to my opinion) it almost has a lethargic narrative (if that made any sense).

Filmography

There are so many movies I've added to my IMDB watch list and around 75% of them haven't been watched. In a previous Week Ending I mentioned Paul Thomas Anderson's love for extreme close ups and I started watching that little video again. He has a very interesting style of filmmaking, I sometimes think of it as anti-Wes Anderson. His most recent creation is 'Inherent Vice', where Joaquin Phoenix makes an interesting impression as 'Doc' Sportello, a private-I who's been confronted by an ex-lover that disappears after this surprise meet. The film could be described as a surreal-realistic film (trippy almost).

Jams

More calming music? Hm...perhaps...I've been listening to a lot of Turkish music recently so I'm not sure what to recommend. If you'd be interested I would suggest Ebrü Gündeş's Müstehak. It's a very 'chill' song, and the tune is great; not to mention her extraordinary voice. For those who'd prefer english I'm gonna release my inner Killers fan and recommend Brandon Flower's new solo album 'The Desired Effect'. In all honesty this wasn't his best album but in comparison to most great singers it's pretty darn good.

Gastronomy

I've been on a diet most of this month, so I've been sort of limited on my food intake. So I figured I'll just give you all another mocktail and call it a day. I'm not a fan of sweet drinks, I prefer something with a little punch or tanginess. I highly recommend Martha Stewart's Raspberry Cooler, it's just the thing to refresh you.
