Words of the Week - The Last Mocks
20:00:00Follow us on Instagram! |
Our avid readers (ha) will have noticed that we've added a scrolling Instagram feed to the bottom of our blog. We're really trying to get into social media, especially because THE MOCK EXAMS ARE OVER!!! Our last mock exams... wow. It's amazing how we're reaching the final part of our high school education, how far we've grown up in the past few years. Okay, enough nostalgia, let's catch up on the last two weeks!
It scrolls! |
Snapchat
We (mainly me) decided to get Snapchat this week specifically for the blog. It'll just help us keep you guys up to date in real time, and maybe (just maybe) give you a sneak peek into what we'll be posting! So, if you'd like to follow us, the username is lesfarfelues.

What to listen to
Real Friends, Kanye West on Soundcloud
During the mocks, I randomly got back into Soundcloud. Eventually, I stumbled upon Kanye West's account, where he posts some of his exclusive songs. Whilst the others aren't my taste, I really like Real Friends. It's got a lot more meaning to it, so I suggest you take a listen!
What to read
Lenny Letter Interview
A few days ago, I subscribed to Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner's Lenny Letter, which sends interviews about Politics, Life and more directly to your inbox every few days. From Hilary Clinton to talking about dowries, the posts dropped into your inbox are wonderful and insightful.
How to spend the one hour before going to bed without a screen, by Paul Edrich
This is something I try to do every night (often to no avail), but would strongly recommend you try. We often forget what it was like before we could just Google everything, and spending a bit of time away from the bright screens can really help you fall asleep at night.
Why I travel solo, by Becca Warner for Life Tips.
As someone who is considering going away and exploring for a month after exams, this really made me consider doing it alone. Would you ever travel solo?
The Free Documentary List, by Nzube George Okoye
This Medium article shares dozens of free documentaries to watch online. From creativity to the environment, there's something for everyone. Maybe a documentary night is in store?
What's to come
- The quick party face - Sarah and I went to a party last night, and I thought I'd share with you what I slathered on my face
- January sum up - one month is almost down, eleven to go. Oh, how this year will change
- Whatever you want - now that we have a *bit* more time on our hands, we'd love to hear what you'd like to see from us!
I hope you all have a wonderful week, and we'll see each other soon :)
